Who and What

Hi All,
Welcome to this blog.
I'm autodidacted bicycle enthutist and mechanic, waiting for the right moment to be fully dedicated to the dream of LBS (local bicycle store).

I can do almost everything with your old bike to make it shine and roll.

I can get you everything for your new bike project build.

The only thing I can not do, is to make you ride.

Anyway, fell free to comment, contact and ask questions.

With smile,
Garazhik

Colossi al colossione custom painting

I mad lots of bicycle in last 6 years, and always looking for something new and challenging. People are coming most of them know what they want, some need guidance, very few have a very clear picture of what they want. Those are most interesting as they have ridden fixie for few years, got used to physics, and fully anticipating the next ride. Lora is one of them. She started with nice steel frame, single speed, cheerful colors, easy ride. Within short time she asked for fixie change. And then after a year of riding, she said I need new bike and I know what I want. On her birthday she asked friends to donate for the next dream machine and then we have started the project. It was 3 months back and forth with Colossi framebuilders and painters, till we finally got the result.

See below the evolution:

Wheeler Aluminum frameset

Now, before the New Eve I have sometime so I will post few bikes that were waiting for this moment last two years.
Once I had a friend, and I told him dude, don't you wanna bike?! He said why would I need a bike. And I said cause it will be easier to drink without driving.
And bike gives you freedom of parking and movement. And I said, I have frame for you, take look very light aluminum frame. He said cool, I will take the frame, and then he took it and disappeared for one year.
I called him once in a while, just see what he is up to. Finally he said, ok, lets do it.
Since then he one of the famous urban riders in Tel-Aviv and well recognized person in every possible night out. He has a style and he has a bike. And its fixie!
He also very well known for famous "КАТАССА" Tuesday events.

Another year went for getting the pictures of the bike). BTW, all the photos in the posts belongs to him)

Masi frame

It took me a while, but recently I have collected the photos in one place, and therefore can post about Masi frameset creation that I have made two years ago.
I had this Masi frame for almost year and half laying in my storage with no interest. But as they say there is a rider for each frame. My friend decided that he wants a cool bike riding fast enjoying Italian aluminum masterpiece. And I have decided that I will give it a try for my old dream to paint the frame all by myself. So I did. And then went to repaint in powder coating and made a strong conclusion that you cannot paint a frame good without proper equipment and dedicated place, period.
This bike is running already two years covering dozens of kilometers and still attracting people glances.

The process of color removing, and repaint is below in pictures.

The final product and the happy owner.

Fixie lady from SF

Sometimes funny things happen. All the guys are impressed by Macaframa and their videos were The inspiration for most of us.
So, the far away SF, is now closer than ever. I can proudly say that of the fixes rolling on the streets of San Francisco is made by Garazhik.
Here is the story: two years ago, some lady contact me over FB and asked whether I'm making fixies. We had a nice chat over phone and after a short delay she arrived to my workshop. Elizabeth was taking a part of so volunteer program happening near Modi'in with organic farm and natural green peace recycling approach. But bicycle was missing so she found me. We created a happy colorful Peugeot and it was delivered to far away farm. Then after a year or so, the program was over, Elizabeth came back to US and:
"I'm back in the states living in San Francisco for the past six months. Took my bike apart and brought it with me to the states. Here she is. I love this bike couldn't leave her behind. I'll be riding her to work in the morning"

You never know what will happen with your creations))

Cinelli Vigorelli

I think it's time for new post. And when its time I need to do it quickly otherwise the muse will disappear.
Last year was a full of new bikes, only few of them got a chance to be posted here, but this one is a bit exceptional.
Real Cinelli Vigorelli is not something you meet on the street of Israel every day, and I think we (me and the owner) did a nice join outlining the uniqueness.
It's quick, slick and good looking bike as expected from Cinelli. Adding new pair of wheels, Miche crankset, track handlebar and the result is below.

And no brakes this time, Alex)

First FGFS in Israel

Few years ago I was well into TrickTrack forum learning the tricks and riding the tracking. Dreaming about 700cm or FGFS bike that will change the whole performance. Tried to convince local BMX to import some frames, looked for person to have enough passion. But nothing happens. And now after long journey I’m very pleased to announce first (as far as I know) FGFS bike in Israel.
The owner is poor student with bike passion and lots of patience. We went thru dozens of models, framesets and finally decided to get the full bike from 1/8 named “Butcher”.
Check it out and hopefully we will see some really crazy tricks on it.

Giant lugged frame

Didn't have a time to write and update the blog recently which doesn't mean that I’m not doing anything. It’s just that I have too much real work than virtual and the other reason is that no good pictures were made.
So, below is one of the good reasons why we all love bicycles and think it’s a very sexy transportation to use. Nothing can make you more happier than seeing a gorgeous girl riding a beautiful bike. Especially y if it’s a renovated Giant lugged frame and classic leather accessories.

One thing in particular interesting here is that I have used a burner to release stocked seat post.
